What We Do On The Ground
Beyond our long-term programs, these are the recurring, on-the-ground activities our field team carries out in villages and communities across Darbhanga and neighbouring districts.
Regular medical camps offering free check-ups, basic medicines and maternal-care guidance to families in underserved villages.
Daily after-school classes, school supplies and reading support for children from low-income and out-of-school households.
Short vocational workshops in tailoring, handicrafts and trades that help youth and women build an independent income.
Weekly SHG meetings covering savings, financial literacy and small-business guidance run by and for local women.
Community plantation drives paired with hygiene, sanitation and environmental-awareness sessions in schools and villages.
Emergency distribution of food, shelter kits and essential supplies to families affected by floods and other disasters.
Activity Spotlight
Every month, our field team sets up a free health camp in a different village — registering families, arranging basic check-ups with visiting doctors, and following up with anyone who needs continued care.
These camps are usually the first point of contact between a family and Social Services Trust, and often lead them toward our education, livelihood and welfare programs.
